At the ballpark the Jefferson Park Penguins easily handled the Tampico Stogies
by the score of 8 to 4.
In the 3rd inning Jefferson Park went on top for good as they scored 3 runs on
2 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Moises Alou who came
through for the home fans when he rifled a three-run blast (his 16th of the
season). Jefferson Park had just 6 hits for the afternoon.
Randy Johnson(9-4) got the win allowing 4 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings. Carl
Pavano(1-7) was charged with the loss. He gave up 6 runs in 3 and 2/3
innings of work.
